Luana Borg has been appointed Company Secretary at Shoreline Mall plc, the company announced on Friday.

Her appointment, which came into effect on 18th December, took place after the resignation of Johan Farrugia from the role.

Dr Farrugia had worked as Company Secretary for the company since September 2020. Shoreline Mall thanked him for his service to the Board of Directors over the years.

Dr Borg joins after more than five years working at local law firm DF Advocates, where she had initially joined as Legal Intern, before being appointed Associate in 2019.

She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 2017 and graduated as a lawyer with a Master of Advocacy from University of Malta in 2018. She was later admitted to the Maltese Bar in 2019.

Over the years, she has specialised in financial services, advising and assisting clients in the capital markets, financial institutions, investment funds, and investment services companies.

The Shoreline Mall is a new development in Smart City, Kalkara, that is poised to open its doors to customers in February 2024. The development will be made up of a retail mall housing around 44 different outlets across two double-height levels, as well as 330 residential units spread across eight blocks. The residential segment of the project is set to be fully ready by May 2024.
