Lidl Malta has again pledged a donation of food products to the Malta Food Bank Foundation, this year donating €6,000 worth of goods.

“Easter is the perfect time to give hope to those who need it most,” the company said in an announcement.

In 2020, the discount supermarket donated a total of €5,000 worth of food to the Foundation, an organisation that collects and distributes food to relieve families fighting hunger.

At a time when food prices are rising rapidly due to a combination of factors, food donations to the needy are seen as all the more crucial.
