Gauci Automobiles, widely regarded as one of Malta’s most upmarket car dealership, is offering supercars for sale, now with the option to pay in cryptocurrency.
The dealership, known for its exclusive selection of high-end vehicles, has some of the world’s most sought-after supercars in its portfolio, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Porsche.
In recent days, Gauci Automobiles took to social media to promote the striking Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, priced at €435,000, with an eye-catching offer: "The car is for sale now, and you can buy with cryptocurrency."
The Huracán Tecnica boasts a 5.2L V10 engine, accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds, delivering 640 HP and 565Nm of torque.
Another standout listing is the 2024 Porsche 911 GT3, featuring a 4.0L engine generating 510BHP, available for €325,000. Like the Lamborghini, it can also be purchased using cryptocurrency.
While the option to purchase high-end vehicles with cryptocurrency seems to be a recent development in Malta, it remains unclear whether Maltese car dealerships must undergo specific due diligence processes or secure formal authorisation from financial institutions to facilitate such transactions for their high-net-worth clientele.
