On Thursday (today), KM Malta Airlines announced that it has registered one million bookings since the launch of sales on 4th December 2023.
“The airline has proudly achieved 1,000,000 bookings well ahead of plans,” KM Malta remarked.
The airline extended its gratitude to everybody who contributed to reaching this milestone including customers, local and international travel trade, airline codeshare and interline partners as well as all its staff and service partners.
KM Malta also noted that through its different options presented to clients, it managed to “achieve this significant sales performance.”
In October 2023, Prime Minister Robert Abela and Minister for Finance Clyde Caruana announced that KM Malta Airlines would be taking over Air Malta, which had accumulated €356 million losses over 20 years.
The former airline ceased operations on 30th March 2024, and the following day KM Malta Airlines took over.
Just last week, KM Malta Airlines also announced the launch of its new mobile app. The launch was significant for the airline after years of complaints from clients.
Air Malta was often criticised for not having a dedicated mobile app. As a result, customers had to access the airline's website from their phones, being faced with glitches when accessing bookings and purchasing tickets.
