Keith Fenech, who was appointed CEO of INDIS Malta in January of this year, will be moving on from the role after his “prestigious international appointment as Director of a global company”, according to a statement by the Economy Ministry.

The statement did not specify which company Mr Fenech will be taking on the role of Director at.

“It is indeed an honour for the Ministry and for Malta that Mr Fenech, who currently occupies the role of Chief Executive Officer of INDIS Malta, has been recognised by this leading international company, for his exceptional leadership and dedication. As a Ministry we take great pride in seeing that Mr Fenech’s accomplishments, particularly in lean manufacturing, have not only made significant impact within the organisations that he has managed locally, but have now also garnered recognition on an international scale.”

Taking over the helm of INDIS Malta will be Jean Pierre Attard in the role of Executive Chairperson, as of 1st July. INDIS Malta is the largest operator of industrial parks in Malta and Gozo. The entity is responsible for the administration of Government-owned estates and related facilities around the islands.

Dr Attard currently holds the position of Chairperson at the entity, and, to “ensure an element of continuity”, the INDIS Board took the decision to appoint him Executive Chairperson.

Dr Attard has been Chairperson of this entity for the last three years and “is very familiar with the company’s challenges and plans ahead”. The handing over period will extend through the next month so that Dr Attard officially takes over from Mr Fenech as of the 1st of July 2023.

“The Ministry is confident that this appointment will further elevate INDIS’ capabilities to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of our industries.”
