Central Asphalt Ltd is mourning the loss of its Director, Joseph Vella, known as Taż-Żiża, who passed away on Monday, 14th April 2025.
Described by people as more than just a leader, Mr Vella was a source of inspiration, wisdom, and unwavering support to all those who had the privilege of working with him.
“He was deeply loved by colleagues and staff alike,” a Facebook user wrote. “His presence brought warmth, integrity, and a sense of togetherness to our workplace. His absence will be profoundly felt, and he will be sorely missed by everyone,” he added.
Mr Vella was remembered fondly in comments shared online. One described him as a “true gentleman,” while another noted that he “lived a quiet life, working with and for your family and always did it humbly.” “From the few hours we met you, you were a good man,” another person wrote.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, 16th April at 3:30pm at Mellieħa Parish Church. As a mark of respect, Central Asphalt Ltd has announced that its offices will be closed on the day of the funeral.
