Mike Xuereb, the owner of Hotel 19 Rooms in Valletta, has shed light on his plans to open a new Sliema boutique hotel – Amery House – in September of this year.
The new property will have 28 rooms, a “great location” and a focus on values of service, sustainability, and the creation of an “authentic/unique experience” for its guests.
“It’s awesome to see the project go from excavation to construction, finishing and now to be looking into the furnishing and final touches”, Mr Xuereb said.
Making the announcement on social media, he also celebrated the imminent return of tourists to Malta, saying that “after eight months of patiently waiting”, his existing hotel is “finally starting to see a pick-up in booking patterns”.
“Aside from the commercial and financial need”, the hotel owner said, “it is just nice to see guests in the hotel, that we can spoil and look after”.
Mr Xuereb also added that during the downtime, the hotel has been busy working on its product, focusing on improving sustainability, guest experiences and facilities for its patrons.
