Business strategy and development specialist Gianni Zammit highlighted the importance of reacting and adapting in the business world, just a few days after hitting “one of life’s milestones”, his 50th birthday.
Mr Zammit shared his top three pieces of business advice on Monday, after his birthday encouraged him to reflect on both his life, and his career.
He started off by suggesting that “the most important opinions to take to heart are those of people you trust,” as while everyone has an opinion, not each and every one of them should be given equal weight.
Mr Zammit also emphasised how crucial it is to react and adapt, as “things don’t usually go 100 per cent as planned, so be ready to react swiftly and make things work”.
Lastly, he urged people to not let fear guide them. “Fear and uncertainty are things we all experience, but if a great opportunity arises, take the plunge,” Mr Zammit added.
Over the years, he has taken numerous plunges in a number of different industries, from teambuilding and events planning at JUGS Malta Ltd and market and media research at Business Leaders Malta, to childcare at YoYo Kids and entertainment at Vibe FM, all of which he is a Director and Shareholder.
Mr Zammit holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication & Instructional Technology from University of Malta, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Valdosta State University.
