Gram Collections, one of Malta’s oldest and most well-known jewellers, has opened a new store on Psaila Street, Birkirkara, following a €290,000 investment.
Gram, with sixty years of jewellery experience under its belt, redefined its online strategy in 2020 due to pandemic related disruptions, and sought to provide an enhanced shopping experience through its digital platforms.
While this strategy continues, the company is celebrating the opening of its new store “after months of hard work and meticulous planning”.
To mark the occasion, Prime Minister Robert Abela and Economy Minister Silvio Schembri inaugurated the store’s opening.
In a press statement, it was said that Gram will be following up this investment with a further €250,000 aimed at meeting requirements to serve international markets, create new jobs and add new offices.
The company’s founder, Geroge Tabone, said that nowadays, Gram Collections is well-known across the island.
“We want to see the store become a flagship outlet that continues to provide a professional service aimed at helping our country to become an online centre for distribution 24-hours-a-day,” he said.
Economy Minister Silvio Schembri said this expansion is proof that a shift towards digitalisation helps companies to generate revenue and creates opportunities for growth during these challenging times.
