Telecommunications veteran Lassaad Ben Dhiab has been appointed to the Board of Directors at Cablenet Communication Systems.

He joins with immediate effect following the announcement on Tuesday.

Mr Ben Dhiab has gained over 30 years of experience within the telecommunications sector, having held major roles in engineering, business strategy and administration, financial and human resource management, as well as implementation of telecommunications solutions.

After being an active member of GO plc’s board since 2019, Mr Ben Dhiab was named Chairman of the company in May of this year.

Throughout the years he has held numerous responsibilities within the Tunisia Telecom Group, and in April he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Tunisie Telecom, GO’s majority shareholder.

Some of his past roles at Tunisie Telecom include Central Director of Wholesale and International, as well as Central Technical Director.

Mr Ben Dhiab is a graduate engineer in telecommunications from the Higher School of Posts and Telecommunications of Tunis, and he also holds a Master’s degree in physical sciences from the University of Sciences of Monastir.

Cablenet Communication Systems is an independent telecommunications company based in Cyprus, and begame a subsidiary of GO in 2014.

Cablenet has stores in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos, where customers can purchase their desired service or else receive assistance for a service they already have.
