GO, Malta’s leading telecom operator, is taking a bold step into the insurance sector with the launch of GO Insure, a home contents insurance product developed in collaboration with Atlas Insurance, one of Malta’s most established insurers.
The move reflects GO’s broader ambition to evolve from a traditional telecom provider into a lifestyle brand, offering services that make everyday life simpler, safer, and more convenient.
Comprehensive home protection
GO Insure allows customers to protect up to €30,000 worth of home contents against key risks such as fire, theft and water damage. Selected home electronics and entertainment items are also covered for accidental damage, with up to €1,000 in coverage under a single plan.
Applications can be completed online or at any GO outlet, with flexible monthly payments and the option to cancel at any time.
For GO, the launch of GO Insure is another step in a strategy that has seen the company expand beyond connectivity into TV entertainment, energy solutions, and electronics.
GO’s partnership with Atlas
The collaboration combines GO’s extensive digital reach with Atlas’s insurance expertise, offering a product designed around real customer needs.
Commenting on the launch, GO CEO Nikhil Patil said the move reinforces the company’s ongoing effort to evolve and meet customers’ needs across every aspect of their lives.
“While the move might seem unconventional for a telecom operator, it reflects GO’s broader strategic direction,” he continued.
Matthew von Brockdorff, CEO of Atlas Insurance, said the partnership “reflects the strength of Malta’s insurance sector and our commitment to making protection more relevant, approachable, and aligned with how people live today.”
Segment Marketing Manager at GO, Annette Bezzina concluded, “As our homes become increasingly digitised and connected, offering an insurance product that safeguards what matters most to our customers was the natural next step forward.”
