HandsOn Systems Founder and CEO Geoffrey Farrugia celebrated his 12th anniversary at the technology company on Tuesday through a social media post highlighting its roots from a “small humble garage in Qormi”.

While he acknowledged that 12 years is a long time and the company has “done a lot” during those years, Mr Farrugia also remarked that it is still “not enough”.

He also shared an image of the company’s premises 10 years ago, asking a number of past and present employees and business partners whether they remember it or not, recounting the memories that were created there. “This is where it all started, this is where the magic happened,” Mr Farrugia said.

“Always remember your roots, what keeps you grounded and where you are coming from. This is the only way you can progress further,” he added.

Despite being faced with both “success and failure, satisfaction and disappointment, friendships and betrayals, ups and downs and everything in between,” he added that this is “all part of the process for growth”.

“Whatever you do in life, do it with passion and purpose, grace and dedication, as if your life depends on it, because it does,” Mr Farrugia concluded.

Mr Farrugia founded HandsOn Systems in 2010 as a telematics company focusing on a number of Internet of Things (IoT) products and services. His main responsibility is to turn the company’s vision of expanding its operations to a global level into a reality through leadership, innovation, and unifying various ideas and skills present in the HandsOn Systems team together.

Prior to this, he served as Technical Director of Malta-based telematics and software provider Cyberpass for almost three years, during which he managed a team of technology specialists, ranging from support executives to software developers. He also worked as IT Administrator at financial services firm GlobalCapital plc, as well as IT Manager at Finserv and Software Engineer at 6PM Holdings plc.
