Leading local insurer, GasanMamo Insurance Limited, has announced an extension to its travel insurance products, allowing the company’s clients to travel more safely and securely despite pandemic related disruptions.

Christopher J. Delicata, Senior Underwriting Manager with GasanMamo, says this extension provides cover should a client have to cancel a booked trip in the event of contracting the virus.

It also provides cover for any medical expenses incurred if the insured person is required to quarantine, isolate or contracts COVID -19 whilst abroad together with a daily benefit if the trip has to be delayed.

This is being offered for all travel policies issued with GasanMamo as of 1st June 2021 and can be purchased online or through its branches across Malta and any of its authorised intermediaries.

As of 1st June (today), Malta reopened to international travel, and also updated its entry requirements for inbound travellers. All those entering the country must provide a valid PCR test taken within 72 hours of said flights, or a valid Maltese vaccine certificate showing proof of vaccination.
