Focal Maritime Services Ltd on Tuesday mourned the sudden loss of Marthese Ellul Debono, who worked at the maritime and logistics services company.

To the company, she was not only a “dear colleague” and a “dedicated team member”, but also a “friend”, and her presence “brightened” the team’s days and left them with “cherished memories”.

 “Her passion, spirit, and kindness touched all of us profoundly,” the company added.

“Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find strength in the love around them,” it continued.

The company called for people to be “more compassionate” and to cherish the moments we share with each other as a way of honouring Ms Ellul Debono.

“Rest in peace. You’ll be deeply missed,” it said, before remarking that the celebration of her life will take place on 5th August at 8.30am at Saint Lawrence Parish Church in Vittoriosa.

People on social media were shocked and astonished by the news, with many offering their condolences to all her family, friends, and colleagues.
