The critically acclaimed Fifty Nine Republic, is entering its last weekend at its present location, before it reopens on 1st March at new premises on St George’s Square.
Fifty Nine Republic is co-owned by executive chef Maria Sammut, who co-launched the restaurant at just 28 back in 2018, with a commitment to change the menu frequently and to bring the passion and love she has for the perfect gastronomical experience to her patrons.
The restaurant, which was among the first group of local restaurants to receive recognition by the Michelin Guide, will be taking over the location once used by another popular restaurant, Malata.
In a Facebook post, Fifty Nine Republic told its followers “Come join us to say goodbye and farewell to 59 Republic Street”.
“We look forward to seeing you this week at 59 and welcoming you to the new location from 1st March!”
In a previous Facebook post, the restaurant said the old Malta premises will have “a fully refurbished interior and a spectacular terrace for 60 guests on Palace Square”.
“Chef Patron Maria Sammut will be launching an exciting new menu, new concepts with a stunning new location.”
