University of Malta alumni Eman Galea has announced his appointment as Strategy and Operations Senior Analyst at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The position will bring him to Madrid from London, where he spent six years, first as a Research Analyst then in various positions at Fidelity International.

He took to social media to share his latest adventure, saying: “After almost six years working in London, I am happy to share that I’m starting a new position in Madrid as Strategy and Operations, Senior Analyst at Amazon Web Sevices (AWS).

Mr Galea started his career as a Research Analyst at the Government of Malta, then went to Queen Mary University of London to study for a Master’s Degree in International Financial Management.

AWS is a subsidiary of international tech titan Amazon, providing on-demand cloud computing platforms and application programme interfaces to individuals, companies, and Government.

The company has established a market dominating presence in the billion-dollar cloud computing sector, dominating both Microsoft and Google’s services and exceeding their combined market share.

AWS’s dramatic success has seen some predict it to exceed a trillion-dollar value in the coming years.
