Dollsy Darmanin, a seasoned HR professional, has joined InterContinental Malta as Cluster Director of HR and Training.

Ms Darmanin made the announcement on Wednesday, through LinkedIn.

Prior to joining InterContinental, Ms Darmanin served as Group Head of HR at VF Group, the company that leads businesses in fashion retail, clothing manufacturing, uniformity, outdoor media, and real estate development.

Her experience ranges from HR Director at db Group to working for three years as Head of HR at Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay.

She also worked for Mizzi Motors Ltd and Playmobil, Vodafone Malta and Hili Ventures Limited.

InterContinental Malta, which hosts 481 bedrooms, six restaurants and six bars, opened its doors in 2003. It forms part of IHG, a UK-based multinational hospitality company that operates more than 6,000 hotels under a number of brands in over 100 countries.

She describes herself as being particularly skilled in human resources, business strategy and people management in various industries. This includes financial services, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and telecoms.

She also has a degree in Human Resources Management and a Master of Science in Occupational Psychology from University of Leicester.
