DK Pascucci Limited, a subsidiary of Dizz Group's D Foods Finance plc, has obtained master franchise status from popular coffee shop franchise Caffè Pascucci International’s owners, allowing it to continue expanding its growing presence in Malta, it announced on Friday.

As a result, it will now proceed to invite existing or prospective coffee shop owners to become sub-franchisees of Caffè Pascucci.

Through DK Pascucci Limited, Dizz Group currently operates six Pascucci outlets in the inner harbour area, at Bay Street in St George’s Bay, The Mall in Tigné Point, Sliema, Centerparc in Qormi, along with three on-street premises in Paceville, St Venera, and Gzira.

“Sub-franchisees will be assisted in drawing up a business plan and, once on board, will be provided with the required shop design, layout and concept suitable for the outlet,” the company said.

Following this, staff will be trained to meet Caffè Pascucci International’s standards and the owners will also be supported in their implementation and execution, as well as supplying coffee machines, coffee beans, beverages, sweets, uniforms, and all of the packaging.

Since its establishment in 2001, the Caffè Pascucci franchise has spread to 40 outlets in Italy and 650 worldwide, the majority of which are in Asia and the United States. Its coffee has also been voted one of the top three coffees in Italy.

Dizz Group was founded in 2000 and was initially only involved in the retail fashion industry, through its impressive line-up that includes popular brands like Terranova, Calliope, Guess, and Trussardi, among others. The company has since diversified its portfolio and delved into the catering business through the Caffè Pascucci franchise.
