Delicata Winery is mourning the loss of one of its own, Mario Delicata.
Mario is the eldest son of Managing Director Vincent George Delicata who has been at the helm of the family business since the early 1970s.
Writing a few words on its Facebook page, the business described Mario as a dedicated steward of the family winery.
“His commitment to the Maltese wine sector and community will be profoundly missed. His vision and leadership have left an indelible mark on those who knew him, and his legacy will live on through the people he inspired,” the team said.
Mario’s funeral service will be held on Thursday 31st October at 8:30am at Balzan Parish Church.
On the day, the winery will be closed. However, the team remarked that it will continue to operate in his spirit, “carrying forth his dedication and love for the craft through his brothers Michael and Matthew.”
