De La Rue Malta’s HR team has been certified with the National Quality Mark by the Foundation for Human Resources Development, HR Manager Caroline Zammit announced on Wednesday.

Celebrating the award, Ms Zammit said the team was “honoured to have been recognised for [its] efforts”.

“This certification denotes De La Rue’s commitment to placing HR practices at the center of its business through the implementation of various policies and strategies”, she said.

The three year award recognises the “professionalism, competence and contribution of the HR function in any organisation”.

The award acknowledges that the HR criteria set by the foundation have been met and serves as a process to guide organisations on how to improve their HR practices.

Ms Zammit thanked her team, Elaine Mifsud Western, Christina Mercieca, Maria-Alessia Micallef, and Nicole Bartolo for their “input and contribution towards this award”.

De La Rue provides "Governments and commercial organisations with the products and services that enable countries to trade, companies to sell, economies to grow and people to move securely around an ever-more connected world".

It does so in the form of banknotes, passports and secure product identifiers.

Globally, the company employs around 2,300 employees across four continents.
