Valletta Legal has announced the promotion of Darren Carabott and Miriana Borg to the position of Senior Associate, saying they have “excelled in their respective fields.”

The pair joined Valletta Legal a week apart back in 2019

Dr Carabott is perhaps better known as a Member of Parliament with the Nationalist Party since the last election in 2022, having previously served as on the Santa Venera Local Council for nine years.

He previously worked with the Nationalist Party’s media wing, Media.link Communications, as a journalist.

Admitted to the bar in 2019, Dr Carabott further advanced his legal studies by reading for a Master of Laws in Transnational Crime & Justice jointly organised at a United Nations’ mandated university, and at one of the training and research institutes of the United Nations’ system.

Dr Borg on the other hand gained legal experience as an intern and trainee lawyer with WH Partners, Fenech & Fenech Advocates and Twenty One Law, alongside a role as Human Resources Coordinator with Pointbook Caterers – a position she held for five years.

Having also joined Valletta Legal as an Associate in 2019 – following a period as a legal trainee with the same firm – she formed an integral part of the Corporate and Compliance Department, contributing her expertise to Valletta Trustees Ltd.
