Corinthia has opened reservations for its new hotel in Rome ahead of its grand opening in February 2026.
The Corinthia Rome is situated in a protected landmark building that previously housed the Bank of Italy. It sits right opposite Italy’s Parliament in central Rome.
The 7,000sqm luxury hotel will feature two restaurants, including a dining operation by Carlo Cracco, one of Italy’s best-known celebrity chefs, bars and lounges, all wrapped around a central garden. The hotel also has a spa and other amenities.
The 60-room property is owned by the Reuben Brothers, British billionaires with extensive real estate holdings. Corinthia Hotels Limited (CHL) is the tenant, occupying the property on a long-term lease once it is completed. This means Corinthia will retain all revenues, incur all operating costs and retain all profits after paying an agreed rent to the owners.
The hotel was initially slated for opening in 2023, but the opening was eventually pushed back to the first quarter of 2026.
International Hotel Investments plc (IHI) is currently undergoing a period of rapid expansion, with new hotels recently opened or set to open Budapest, Bucharest, New York City, Beverly Hills, Riyadh, Doha, Dubai and the Maldives.
The group generated €2.34 million in profit before tax in 2024, and is projected to generated €4.44 profit before tax in 2025.
