Known for being one of the island’s top choices for special occasion dining, Far Eastern restaurant Rickshaw – located in the Corinthia Palace in Attard – has long been a popular go-to for birthdays, anniversaries and other milestone moments. Now it plans to be exactly that again, with a specially designed take-out and delivery menu that was launched this week.
“We absolutely love that our guests share their important occasions with us at Rickshaw and we have always tried to make them as special as possible,” says Corinthia Palace general manager Adrian Attard.
“The restaurant has been closed for a few weeks now because of the pandemic, and many of our guests have been in touch to say how much they miss the Rickshaw experience, so we have found a way to take it to them!”
Rickshaw has so far launched four special menus designed to make at-home dining special. Each option includes a selection of starters, main courses and desserts, with a few little surprises added in to ensure that famed ‘Rickshaw touch’ transcends the distance.
Diners will be able to collect their take-out themselves by driving up to the Corinthia Palace, where it will be handed to them. A delivery service is also available to the central Malta region.
“Of course, what we really want is to have our guests back with us. However, as this is not possible, we want to help people to create special moments at home,” says Corinthia Palace Hotel general manager Adrian Attard.
“As our regular patrons know, we thrive on creating memorable experiences. With this offering we do not just want to offer amazing Asian cuisine, but to help you create a special evening in your own home.”
Customers can collect their food from the Corinthia Palace’s entrance without leaving their car or alternatively the hotel’s chauffer will deliver the food to central locations.
“With this service we have not created just another take away option. Our aim, as always, is to allow you to create a moment of luxury and for your lives to be uplifted. In challenging times like this we feel that this is even more important,” Mr Attard adds.
Dedicated to helping the local community, the Corinthia Palace will be donating part of the sale from each Rickshaw experience to the Foodbank Lifeline to enable this incredible organisation to continue its work with the less fortunate in our society.
