George Callus, former Director and Co-Founder of Comtec, has passed away.
Mr Callus was described as a guiding force behind Comtec, having played a central role in establishing and shaping the pest control services company through his dedication, leadership and long-term vision. Those who worked alongside him remembered him with respect and gratitude, noting his commitment to building the business and supporting its people.
Beyond his professional life, Mr Callus was married to Amy Callus Orlando, a well-known Maltese actor best recognised for her role as Mrs Axiaq in the popular local sitcom Simpatiċi.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 24th January, at 8:30am at the Mosta Rotunda Church.
MHRA President Tony Zahra wrote on social media that Mr Callus was his business partner for many years but “more importantly a lifelong friend,” and many people shared this sentiment.
"I am forever indebted to George because it was through his iniative and encouragement that I started my studies abroad in the pest management industry making me reach high recognition, not only on the local scene, but also abroad," wrote Ronnie Galea, who is a Senior Advisor and Technical Consultant at Comtec.
