Business development specialist Clayton Meli has been appointed General Manager at security solutions company APCO Limited, he announced on Tuesday.

Mr Meli, who is a qualified engineer in electronic and control from MCAST, is skilled in automation, security, process improvement, business-to-business solutions, as well as strategic planning.

Prior to his new role, he served as Head of Business Development at both human resources solutions provider Infinity Services Malta and transaction facilitating company Infinity FX Limited, which both fall under M. Demajo Group. Mr Meli also has seven months’ experience as Senior Manager Advisory at professional services firm KPMG Malta, during which time he was responsible for advisory and digitalisation, as well as strategy and business development.

Additionally, he also worked at Joseph Cachia & Son Limited for nine years in a variety of positions, including Technical Sales & Maintenance Manager and General Manager of the Technical Division.

Mr Meli describes himself as an “energetic, analytical, and service-oriented engineer”, who possesses a history of providing “mindful leadership to improve operations with a solid engineering background”.

APCO Limited provides industry-specific hardware for security, automation, and self-service solutions, including cash management, data security, fire detection and electronic security, among others. It forms part of Harvest Technology plc, which is owned by 1923 Investments plc, an investment structure wholly owned by Hili Ventures Limited.
