Preceding the company appointments, the Group announced the loss of its founder, Jean Pierre Mizzi, who passed away on 1st August.

“Whenever we found ourselves in difficulty you always told us that we could endure much more than we thought we could - you'd say never give up, move forward. You told us that all we needed to do is learn not to be afraid of the challenges we faced. Grit your teeth and move on. Don’t deny it, don’t be overwhelmed by it. It will not last forever. One day, the challenge we face will be gone and we will still be there, the company said in a public tribute.
