On Wednesday (today), Bank of Valletta (BOV) issued a public call on the Malta Stock Exchange for independent Non-Executive Directors.

The bank is inviting individuals with relevant qualifications, competences, skills, and experience, to express their interest in submitting their names for registration as independent Non-Executive Directors in the Nominations Pool of the bank’s Board of Directors.

Subsequently, individuals who are deemed to satisfy the bank’s criteria and regulatory expectations will be recorded in the bank’s Nominations pool and evaluated by the bank’s Nominations and Remuneration Committees.

BOV explained that interested individuals who are included in the pool will not automatically be considered as having satisfied the nomination process for appointment to the Board at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Additionally, BOV will be issuing an advert for appointment of directors at the AGM, in accordance with the bank’s Articles of Association.
