Leading Maltese company Electrofix Group, which specialises in renewable energy products, on Thursday announced it is in the process of acquiring another Maltese company, Arjakon Ltd, a leading importer and distributor of air-conditioning and efficient water heating solutions in Malta.
The company announcement shed no light on the conditions under which Arjakon is being acquired, or how the deal was valued.
Electrofix remarked that the deal represents “a crucial milestone in our Group’s growth journey”.
“We are proud of this corporate acquisition and having Arjakon’s brands under Electrofix Group’s umbrella gives us a strong competitive advantage in the local market,” it said.
Arjakon traces its roots back to 1966, when the concept of air conditioning was still in its early stages, and was “solely dedicated to this specialised field with particular attention given to customer satisfaction, from design to completion stages”.
Electrofix is officially presenting the company’s brands for the first time at its ECODarna stand at this year’s Malta Trade Fair, which started on 23rd June and will go on until 3rd July.
At the stand, Electrofix will also be launching a new 490W photovoltaic panel model, which provides higher power than other solar panels while also requiring less roof space "to attain equal electricity outputs".
“ECODarna is our vision for Maltese homes to become increasingly energy efficient,” Electrofix continued.
“On this year’s 480 square metre-stand at the Malta Trade Fair, the public will find all our range of renewable energy products” it said, including solar panels, solar water heaters, heat pumps, air conditioners, along with other products.
Throughout the fair’s duration, there will be several offers on various products and solutions on display, and three Airwell air conditioning units will be awarded to visitors who “take a selfie on the ECODarna stand, post it on Facebook, tag #ECODarna, and also like and share the ECODarna page”.
Launched in 1998, Electrofix has grown in recent years from providing domestic electrical and plumbing solutions, to reaching local commercial and industrial communities “in search of solid and reliable electrical and engineering partners in large and sensitive projects”.
