During 2024 and 2025, the Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools (FTS), has undertaken a series of infrastructure upgrades across Malta and Gozo, reaching an investment of €2 million.

FTS was established by the Maltese Government in 2001 to design and build new schools, as well as to refurbish and maintain existing schools.

In 2024 alone, upgrades were carried out in seven colleges and eight childcare centres. During the first half of 2025, a further eight colleges across Malta and Gozo saw similar improvements.

These projects are being carried out in various state schools and childcare centres. The works form part of a broader initiative by the Government to provide students with modern, well-equipped environments that support physical activity and healthy development.

Upgrades at childcare centres are managed in coordination with the Foundation for Educational Services (FES).
