Being a Libyan national, Rajab S. Alrtami has direct contact with the company’s main Libyan client.

“Apart from being Managing Director since 2015, I am also a member of the Board of Directors, overseeing smooth coordination between management and the Board in the business of decision-making,” he points out.

A graduate in electrical engineering, Mr Alrtami has 25 years’ experience in various executive positions in different sectors of the electrical industry.

Medelec Switchgear Ltd was founded in 1977 and started its primary operations as an assembly plant for distribution switchgear and transformers under licence from GEC of England.

The company grew and expanded its activities, investing heavily in plant equipment and human resource development to become a leading key player in the North African market.
