Ovidiu Mircea Tierean joined the advisory team at PKF in September 2023 to kick-start a long-awaited project: PKF Academy.

“This endeavour will take professional training in Malta to whole new level. With 300 sqm of new training area and state of the art technology, PKF Academy will be a new learning experience for professionals. We will offer both core competencies and non-structured courses that will focus on soft skills,” he explains.

After 12 years of academia in different public and private universities and institutes in Europe, he joined consultancy with the goal of creating added value in training professionals.

“With all the advances in generative AI and automation in all industries,” Dr Mircea Tierean asserts, “professionals are left behind and lack some of the skills to work with these technologies and in this new paradigm in the workplace. This is the gap that we want to close at PKF Academy.”

An economist by profession, he possesses a PhD in marketing and has 12 years of experience in teaching and quality assurance in education.

Very passionate about how the world works he, thus, reads a lot of history, geopolitics and psychology.
