After joining Vistra in June 2010 as in-house lawyer, Alistair Schembri was promoted to Director in 2011 and then Deputy Managing Director in 2016. “Currently, I hold the position of Country Managing Director and I am primarily responsible for managing the Malta office and implementing a strategic plan that focuses on growth within the private wealth sector,” he says.

Dr Schembri is also responsible for key multinational clients and business introducers as well as developing new products and service lines for the Malta office.

Since joining Vistra, he has gained considerable experience in advising private clients on various corporate, legal and trust matters as well as on immigration and succession planning.

He graduated as a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2009 and was admitted to the Bar in 2010. He is a member of the Malta Chamber of Advocates, the Malta Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and the Malta Chamber of Commerce and is fluent in Maltese, English and Italian.
