Thursday evening’s fire, which erupted at Hard Rocks Business Centre, has left AMC Marketing Ltd owners Victor and Chris Zammit heartbroken and at a loss for words yet determined to “rebuild stronger than ever.”

Late last week, a fire at Burmarrad’s Business Centre, erupted leaving warehouses destroyed. The industrial fire was so severe that an intense operation required the assistance of 50 firefighters and 15 fire appliances. Subsequently, three firefighters sustained injuries after a roof collapsed with two of them requiring medical treatment at Mater Dei Hospital.

On Sunday, Victor and Chris Zammit recounted that seeing their premises and “second home” engulfed in flames left them at a loss for words.

“The emotional weight of this tragedy is immeasurable,” they wrote on Facebook.

The Zammits shared that, despite the overwhelming sadness, they are deeply moved and grateful for the outpouring of support from clients, family, friends, and the wider community.

“A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible staff. Your unity, resilience, and unwavering commitment to our shared vision have been nothing short of inspiring. This weekend has shown how much this business means to all of us, and we are so proud to have you as part of the AMC family. Special thanks also to out landlord for their support during this tough moment,” the duo commented.

Furthermore, they extended their gratitude to the Civil Protection and Malta Police Force team who battle fire with bravery and determination.

Wrapping up their statement, Victor and Chris said that while this is one of the company’s hardest moments in its history, the overwhelming kindness reminded them that they do not stand alone.

“Together we will rise again, together we will rebuild stronger than ever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” they said.

Established in 1995, AMC Marketing Ltd started as solely selling disposables and packaging material. Since then, it expanded as one of the leading importers and distributors with a specialisation in a number of solutions.  Some of its brands include BeLeaf, Dilmah, Maistic, and Henkelman.
