Ta’ Rita Restaurant announced it has raised and donated €7,000 to NeuroGuy, a new charity that was set up to raise donations for care within Mater Dei’s Neuro Surgical ward.
The famous Għar Lapsi restaurant said that NeuroGuy’s cause is very close to its heart.
“It brings us great joy to support our friends and contribute to such meaningful work. Thank you, Jo Barron and Vincent Muscat for your hard work and dedication,” it said.
"Thank you, Guy, for motivating and inspiring everyone around you. Truly a Champ.”
NeuroGuy was set up last year by Guy Muscat Barron and his parents Jo and Vincent to help support patients receiving treatment at the Neuro Surgical Ward at Mater Dei Hospital and beyond.
Guy Muscat Barron had received extensive treatment at the ward after contracting encephalitis, a serious inflammation of the brain that required him to have parts of his skull medically removed.
