Real estate firm, Dhalia, is driven to promote the careers of emerging professionals working towards their degrees at the University of Malta, by offering part-time work as property consultants.
Tertiary level students have the opportunity to sharpen their skills, grow their network and develop on-the-ground experience, through employment in real estate, liaising on the sales and rentals of properties around the Maltese islands.
Participants will also benefit from the necessary flexibility to fit their work around their studies and lectures and, indeed, appointments and viewings are scheduled around any free periods during the day.
Students from diverse faculties have already taken the opportunity to enhance their value. Law students are developing experience in the procedures of selling or renting, which is increasing their knowledge of property and commercial law, essential to notary work. Architecture and design students have been given the opportunity of viewing a range of property layouts, enabling them to reflect on best working and building practices.
Moreover, the consistent contact with other professionals working in the same sector has been formative, allowing these students to hone their social skills and competencies which will boost their chances of further employability in the future.
Dhalia is one of Malta’s leading real estate firms, boasting a 40-year history. Since its establishment, it has grown to include 16 branches across the country, overseeing the sales and rentals of over 30,000 properties.
