Izola Bank has announced its continued sponsorship of Foodbank Lifeline and, in particular, their latest “Spare A Bag” campaign. The campaign aims to collect reusable bags that will be used to distribute essential food supplies to families in need across Malta and Gozo. These bags are more than just containers; they represent a small act of kindness that helps families struggling to make ends meet.

Why this matters:

Hunger remains a significant issue, impacting families from all walks of life. Foodbank Lifeline offers crucial support by providing food and hope. While food donations are essential, distributing them efficiently requires sustainable resources like reusable bags—something many of us have sitting unused. By donating these bags, we not only support families in need but also reduce waste and contribute to a more environmentally friendly solution. Together, we can make a positive impact on both people and the planet.

How you can get involved:

Together with Foodbank Lifeline Foundation Izola Bank encourages schools, businesses and individuals to take part in this initiative. It’s easy to contribute:

  • Look for any unused reusable bags in your cupboards, car or office.
  • Drop them off at the Foodbank Lifeline collection point at 21, Il-Moll tal-Hatab, Marsa Seafront (Monday to Thursday, 8 am - 1 pm). Or, for larger donations, contact 99659384 to arrange a collection.
  • Alternatively, donations can also be dropped off at the Izola Bank Head Office, located at 4 Castille Place, Valletta. A convenient solution for those who work in Valletta or might be planning some shopping in the capital city. (Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm)

By working together, we can ensure that no family has to face hunger alone and we can do so in a way that supports the environment. Follow Foodbank Lifeline’s Facebook page for more information on how you can contribute to this and other campaigns.
