Retail International Group has appointed Simon Mifsud to Head of Retail, after 10 years of service in which he rose through the ranks from assistant manager in a store to overseeing the growth of the Group’s eCommerce platforms last year.

Mr Mifsud started his journey with the Group in 2011 as Assistant Manager with ALDO, one of the international fashion retailer’s brands. There, he was quickly promoted to become the brand’s Sales and Operations Manager, which saw him manage the brand's five stores in Malta and North Africa.

In 2015, he became Group Sales and Operations Manager, where he was responsible for providing operational leadership of all activities necessary for the efficient operation of all the company's brands.

Retail International Group represents brands like ALDO, M&S, LC WAIKIKI, Charles & Keith, Punt Roma and more, in Malta and North Africa.

During that time Mr Mifsud was involved in defining the sales strategy, developing and executing the sales team’s operational plan, the training and development of store leadership teams, management of the recruitment and selection process, the definition and tracking sales targets, overseeing sales budgets and expenditure, honing sales processes, and maintaining the CRM through marketing, social media and eCommerce.

During 2020, he supported the growth and expansion of Retail International Group’s eCommerce platforms.

Mr Mifsud’s long experience with the Group is complemented by his role as Head of Customer Care at the 2018 and 2019 DELTA Summits.
