Robert Cassar has announced his appointment as CEO at one of Malta’s leading shipping and logistics companies, EuroBridge.

The freight forwarding company describes itself as aiming to deliver the most efficient, reliable and competitive logistical service in Malta, setting the industry standard by offering reliable, top quality services in freight forwarding, global logistics and international trade.

Celebrating his appointment on social media, Mr Cassar said: “I am super excited to have joined EuroBridge earlier this month. Much to learn, many great people to work with and customers to have the pleasure to get to know and assist in giving the best of service”.

He brings a broad variety of professional experience to his role, having held positions as a teacher, translator, tech news anchor, in sales, in academia, and most recently during a five-and-a-half-year stint as Head of Business Relations, International Relations & Sales at MaltaPost.

A particular career highlight was his time as Vodafone's product manager, responsible for the launch of the first Apple iPhones in Malta, and then the company's whole phone portfolio, bringing "unsurpassed" market penetration for smartphones.

He is a visiting lecturer and mentor at a number of universities and colleges including MCAST, the University of Malta, Global College Malta, and the University of Chester.
