I graduated in Psychology and Management Studies in 1995 from the University of Malta. A year later, I read for my postgraduate certificate in Education and in 1999 graduated in Gerontology and Geriatrics from the European Centre of Gerontology at the University of Malta. Part of my undergraduate studies were conducted at Clarion University in Pennsylvania, USA.
My extensive experience in the field of ageing and my passion to make a difference in peoples’ lives, coupled with a strong background in voluntary work, have helped strengthen the care philosophy within the Group, and have contributed towards enhancing the Group’s commitment to achieve the highest quality of care in the industry. Today, I hold the role of Chief Executive Officer of CareMalta Ltd, ensuring that the company’s vision consistently drives its decisions for the older community it serves.
I am a director at Vassallo Group Limited, LiveLife and HILA Limited. Between 2012 and 2015, I served as Chairperson of the Board of the European Association of Homes and Services for the Elderly (EAHSA) in Brussels, Belgium.
To date, I serve as a member on the Council for the Malta Employers’ Association and am a board member of the Malta Community Chest Fund, a charitable institution chaired by the President of Malta. One of my higher goals in life is to help alleviate people’s suffering and I do this through my commitment and active membership in the Living Waters Mission Team and Cenacolo Community.
