Business Profile

I am Head of Advisory Services at KPMG in Malta. As a Partner within the Advisory function, I co-lead the Corporate Accounting Advisory Services team and lead both the Learning Academy and the firm's ESG Reporting Service line at KPMG in Malta.

I have over 22 years of experience in the accountancy profession and over 18 years of lecturing experience. I began my career within the audit function of KPMG before being appointed as the first Technical Officer of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA), later becoming its first Technical Director. In 2012, I rejoined KPMG to establish the Accounting Advisory Team.

As an IFRS specialist, I have advised a wide range of local and international clients on complex financial reporting matters, supporting them in achieving compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

More recently, I took the lead of the firm's training arm, the KPMG Learning Academy. I am also the firm's ESG Reporting lead, helping clients comply with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

I completed my PhD studies in 2021. I lecture in Advanced Financial Reporting to Master in Accountancy students at the University of Malta. I am also an elected member of the Council of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA) and form part of its Officers team.
