The President of Malta George Vella has appointed three new judges to serve in the judiciary: Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras, Henri Mizzi and Mark Simiana.

This appointment follows a public call, issued in July 2023, by Minister for Justice Jonathan Attard. After the public call, the Judicial Appointments Committee unanimously agreed on a list of adequate candidates, of which the three judges were chosen.

Among the list of the three chosen candidates, the Committee also proposed Magistrate Charmaine Galea, Franca Giordimaina, Jean Paul Grech, Simone Grech, Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit and Anne Marie Thake.

President Vella congratulated the new justices and thanked the members of the committee for its meticulous work.
