Plaza Centres plc on Wednesday announced that the distribution of €350,000 in net dividend has received approval from its shareholders.

This represents a net dividend of €0.0137 per share.

The distribution was first announced in the company’s Annual Report for the financial year ended 31st December 2023, where it was stated that the Board of Directors have recommended the payment of a dividend.

This was approved during the Annual General Meeting that was held on Wednesday, together with other resolutions. These include the approval of the Annual Report, the appointment of EY Malta as the company’s auditors, the publication of the Remuneration Report, as well as the appointment of Directors.

Plaza Centres plc’s primary activity is to lease, manage and market the Plaza Shopping and Commercial Centre in Sliema. First opened in 1993, the shopping centre features four floors dedicated to shopping, dining, training, and entertainment, together with an additional five floors of office space.

During 2023, the company generated €3.1 million in revenue, an increase of 7.7 per cent over 2022 (€2.9 million). Marketing and maintenance costs amounted to €205,964, while administrative expenses totalled €765,838. It recorded €1.6 million in pre-tax profit in 2023 (2022: €1.2 million).
