Car importer and family business Michael Attard Ltd is mourning the loss of Jean Paul Attard, who passed away recently at the age of 34.
Jean Paul was the son of Managing Director Michael and his wife Lucienne, and the brother of Michel, Luke, Andrea, and Rebecca.
“Jean Paul was a cherished member of our family, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him,” the company wrote.
His passing was announced on Saturday by his brother Luke.
“After five days in intensive care, he succumbed to pneumonia that his body could no longer battle. Our heartbroken family has lost a pillar of love and gentle kindness. Jean has left a void that can never be replaced,” he wrote.
In the meantime, all Michael Attard Ltd offices, showrooms and departments will be closed on Monday (today).
“During this difficult time, we kindly ask for your understanding as the family takes the necessary time to grieve and be with loved ones,” the team behind the company wrote on Facebook.

As the years went by the company expanded and became the official importer of Citroen, DS Automobiles luxury brand, and Opel. In addition, it represents Eurorepar and Veedol.
Furthermore, its portfolio also includes Q Business Solutions, which specialises in the development of business software applications and solutions.
