Manouche Craft Bakery and Bistro on Thursday (today) announced that its Mosta outlet is now temporarily closed for refurbishment.

Manouche refrained from stating when the outlet will be reopening, only mentioning that it is closed “until further notice.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” the post on social media added.

Speaking to WhosWho.mt, Manouche Co-Founder and Director Bjorn Bartolo confirmed that the downstairs area of the outlet will be refurbished to act as a co-working hub for professionals who are looking to work remotely.

The Mosta outlet, located on the corner of Triq il-Kbira and Triq il-Pont, close to the Rotunda of Mosta, only opened its doors to the public last year. Aside from the bistro’s popular desserts and coffee, the outlet also has a personalised brunch menu.

Since Manouche opened the doors of its first restaurant in Spinola, St Julian’s, back in 2018, the brand, widely known for its French pastries, has grown significantly. It now also has outlets in Valletta, Bay Street (St Julian’s), Mosta, and Gozo, as well as a new one in Rabat.

Last December, Mr Bartolo stated that 2024 is set to be an important year for Manouche, with four outlets in the pipeline, with this including the recently-opened Rabat one.
