Founded in 1961, it includes many of the world’s largest and most influential exchanges, as well as many from frontier markets.
Speaking to WhosWho.mt, Mr Portelli said he is “quite honoured” to accept the nomination, describing the appointment as “an honor for both myself and Malta Stock Exchange to be associated with such a prestigious organisation as the WFE.”
“As Chair of the Governance and Nominations Committee, I am entitled to participate in WFE board meetings, which consist of chairs and CEOs of some of the most influential exchanges in the world.”
