The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has announced the passing of Josef Spiteri, a deeply respected member of its Inspectorate team.

In a heartfelt message shared on LinkedIn, the MGA expressed its grief: "It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to our colleague Josef Spiteri. Josef was a deeply respected and valued member of the MGA’s Inspectorate team and the MGA family.

“His dedication and presence left a lasting impression on all who worked with him. Our heartfelt condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time."

Tributes to Mr Spiteri have been pouring in, with many reflecting on his kind-hearted nature and the profound impact he had on those around him.

One individual described him as “a true kind soul who left too soon.”

A former colleague wrote: “I always offered to make you tea. You were a true gentleman, and every time we had a conversation, it was always fruitful.”

Another friend shared: “I’ll forever cherish the memories we shared. Your love and kindness truly touched our lives, and you, my friend, have a special way of touching hearts.”

Adding to the sentiment, one mourner poignantly said: “You left everyone speechless, my friend.”

During this difficult time, the MGA, along with many others, extends their sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
