Love Island is not the only reality series that has come to Malta. This week, the InterContinental shared that contestants from the major US reality TV series The Bachelor, can be viewed at the upmarket St Julian's hotel on the show's next episode.

Marika Caruana Smith, Cluster Director of Sales – Luxury and Entertainment at InterContinental Malta, said that the hotel will be featured in The Bachelor, as “Joey Graziadei and his beautiful ladies [made] our resort their home in Malta.”

The next episode is set to air Monday, 12th February.

The trailer for the episode showed scenes filmed in Valletta’s Upper Barrakka Gardens, a medieval re-enactment in Mdina, and a boat ride along the coast, among others. The franchise’s online portal also teased a photo of Mr Graziadei in Malta’s fishing village, Marsaxlokk.

In October, a Reddit user had spotted filming crew in Marsaxlokk, while others commented spotting the crew and contestants in Mdina

eTurbo News, a travel tourism news portal, reported Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) CEO Carlo Micallef as saying that the MTA is pleased to be working with the franchise.

“[It] has provided us with a great opportunity to showcase Malta to new audiences, as an off-the-beaten track romantic island getaway. Malta is the perfect destination for the US market, as it is English speaking, offers luxury for less and is easily accessible from any European Gateway,” he added.

The Bachelor, produced by Warner Bros., is a primetime reality series that aims at finding the bachelor his perfect match. One bachelor is presented during the show and is introduced to a number of women. The show comes to a close when the bachelor finds his true love and with a proposal.
