Harbour Management Ltd has issued an update following significant damage sustained at Mġarr Marina in the wake of Storm Harry, confirming that a substantial programme of repair and restoration works is currently underway.
The storm impacted several areas of the marina’s infrastructure, prompting immediate action to restore facilities both above and below water. The works, which span on-land and underwater operations, are aimed at returning the marina to a safe and fully operational condition.
In a statement addressed to berth holders and visitors, the marina acknowledged the disruption caused during what is typically a busy period. Management noted that the situation has directly affected customers and apologised for the inconvenience, asking for patience as recovery efforts continue.
Harbour Management Ltd emphasised that safety and quality remain the priority as works progress. While describing the circumstances as challenging, the company stated it is working to "minimise disruption" and accommodate users as much as possible during the restoration phase.
The marina operator reaffirmed its commitment to its community of berth holders and visitors, stating its intention to bring "Mġarr Marina back to the standard expected" in the shortest time possible.
