The Malta Society of Arts (MSA) recently announced that it has appointed Lara Boffa as its new Honorary Secretary for the 2024-2025 period.
Established in 1852, the MSA is Malta’s oldest institution for the promotion of arts and crafts. It is not-for-profit organisation that is based at Palazzo de La Salle in Valletta, and is aimed at promoting the visual, applied, performative and literary arts in Malta.
Ms Boffa has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business Information Systems from Middlesex University (UK) and a Master of Business Administration from University of Bedfordshire (UK). She has held managerial and leadership roles across diverse sectors while also maintaining a strong interest in the arts.
In her new role, Ms Boffa will be instrumental in enhancing the operational excellence of the institution by overseeing organisational activities and driving strategic communication and coordination among members and stakeholders.
Prior to her new position, Ms Boffa had served in the committee for the association for three years.
The MSA committee for 2024-2025 is composed of: President Adrian Mamo, Vice President Roderick Camilleri, Honorary Secretary Ms Boffa, Honorary Treasurer Dorothy Meli, members Judge Joseph A. Filletti, Margaret Farrugia and Joseph J. Mifsud, co-opted members Emmanuel Montebello and Mariella Pisani Bencini, Government representative Beverly Saliba, as well as MSA Manager Joe Scerri.
