In a company announcement made on 7th May, Halmann Vella Group plc announced the appointment of Kevin Rapinett as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

He will be taking over from acting CEO Mark Vella, who is to retain his position of executive director on the board.

Prior to joining Halmann Vella Group, Mr Rapinett enjoyed a wide ranging 33 year career in banking having occupied senior positions at HSBC Bank Malta as Head of Global Markets and Investment Banking, Managing Director and Stockbroker of HSBC Stockbrokers (Malta) Ltd, Head of Wholesale Credit Risk and Deputy Chief Risk Officer. His last position was that of Head of Corporate Banking.

The Halmann name has been around for 65 years, and is synonymous with marble and granite, traditional patterned tiles and resin tiles.

Previous projects include Renzo Piano’s Valletta City Gate, the House of Four Winds, Smart City, Skyparks, Tigne Point and several hotels.
